Though originally from Pennsylvania and Maryland, Sarah and Jon started their love story in DC, which had us traveling to none other than Tudor Place for their engagement shoot. Overlooking Georgetown and the Potomac River, Tudor Place is a stunning historic house with over five acres of beautiful gardens. We started our shoot there with a more elegant, romantic vibe, then went for more of a casual look as we strolled the nearby streets of Georgetown. I can’t wait for their wedding this summer in Philadelphia!
Establishing relationships with my clients prior to their weddings is essential. The best way to do this? Engagement sessions! It truly makes all the difference in the outcome of each couple's wedding photos, because I get to see and listen to how they interact before the big day. It is great practice for couples to get used to the camera and how I direct! I also believe it's a great way for them to reconnect during the often stressful time of wedding planning.
Meeting Kristen and Bobby was just that—spending about an hour with them for their engagement session made us all feel excited and ready for their big day! We spent our time wandering the historic streets of Old City, Philadelphia photographing their love for each other. Bobby gifted Kristen an amazing pair of pale blue Christian Louboutin studded pumps, which were the perfect accent to their all-white wardrobe. I can't wait for their upcoming April 2019 wedding at The Cathedral Basilica and The Franklin Institute!
I was so honored when Rachel and Matthew asked me to travel down to picturesque Charleston, South Carolina for their May wedding. I knew I couldn't pass up the chance at photographing a wonderful couple in such a historic and pristine location!
Their day couldn't have been more perfect. We lucked out with beautiful warm weather and bright blue skies. Rachel rented out a gorgeous carriage house on Rutledge Avenue to get ready in, which made for the most amazing pre-wedding photos! We photographed their first look in the house's courtyard, which felt intimate and effortless. In fact, most of the day had that relaxed feeling, which is just how they wanted it to be.
Kala from MOD Events Charleston planned a stunning ceremony and reception at the Pavilion at Pepper Plantation. The dusty blue and ivory palette was perfectly accented by the lush greenery in their florals. One of my favorite parts of the event design was the white drapery she looped in and out of the wood ceiling beams. It really helped add some light and a touch of drama to the space.
Rachel and Matthew were married lakeside with all of their family and friends—from both near and far—surrounding them. So many personal touches were incorporated in their wedding, including little hints of Philadelphia in their reception to make some of their guests feel right at home. The "LOVE" sign above their sweetheart table was a tasteful touch, and so was the delicious Philly cheesesteak bar.
Thank you Rachel and Matt for including me in documenting your wedding day! I wish you nothing but the best in your life together!

We are so thankful for our family and friends who helped celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of our baby girl.
Kirstyn and Anthony are one of those couples that are just contagious—they can make you laugh, cry, party hard, or simply relax just by being next to them! It's no doubt these two are meant for each other. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding day in late April, where we shot at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, Pennsylvania (heaven!) prior to their ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and reception at Blue Bell Country Club. The couple chose a neutral palette accented by a rich navy blue and golds, which shot beautifully against their venues. I hope you enjoy this wedding as much as we did!
